Sometimes you will come across a coupon that just seems too good to be true. $7.00 off Perdue Chicken, Free Product coupons, printed on plain paper, a seller on ebay who has 20 Free item coupons for the same product.
Unfortunately there some people out there who feel couponing honestly is too hard. So they take it upon themselves to either alter coupons, copy coupons, (a big no-no), or just plain out create coupons that never existed. It is almost like counterfeiting money!
We here at HCWT like to promote honest couponing- using the coupon the way it was intended by the manufacturer. If you come across a coupon that "seems to good to be true" feel free to check out this link and see if it is on the Counterfeit Coupon list

You got the whole thing right, some people just do not understand what Counterfeit coupons will do to the gold mine that we have found. Its just not a few people, it is thousands of fools that think they can get by with this. Not long ago I seen a coupon issued from a mfg Site that had the the emailaddress of the person embeded in the coupon in fine print which makes the coupon traceable. I am one that really does not like that information on coupons but am more that willing to provide it if it will help stop this problem. Printables are a great resource but they are copied way to easy which will in the end cost the people that really need the savings to make it through these hard times. You see fraud at the very least contact the person doing it and let them know it is a crime and ask them to stop. I have mentioned before I will not print a coupon sent to me unless I am sure that it came from the MFG. We coupon users get our just reward by using the coupon, you need to save more get more coupons. Stay on that soap box and scream it to the world Wendy it is a worthy cause.

With all the cheap P&G coupons, someone would actually think they would have a free coupon for a free bag of dog food up to 40 lbs? The pdf shows a price written in of $44.99! Now that's a coupon! Or well it would be if it were real :)
