I meant to post this 2 weeks ago but got very busy and forgot.

As many of you know my hubby is a huge Gunsmoke fan and was one of James Arness's hugest fans and admirers.

He passed on June 3rd at the age of 88

I had always heard that he was a very good man, that he wasn't into the Hollywood scene and that he helped many people throughout the years. He was a true hero to my hubby and he was very saddened by his death.

I also watch Gunsmoke with hubby and am surprised when an episode comes on that I have never seen before.

The role was offered to John Wayne and he rejected the roll and suggested James the rest is history.

I get a kick out of seeing a very young Burt Reynolds and Dennis Weaver in the show

What'ch you mean you never seen Gunsmoke??????? That is almost UnAmerican  I thought everyone had a part of Marshall Matt Dillon from Dodge City in their heart! (ok, so I get it, not everyone watches 60+ year old television, but it sure beats what is on these days :))
