I had the schick BOGO along with the $3.00 off any schick. Plus a bunch of other stuff. Spent 15 minutes at the register getting holes bore in the back of my head. Anyway the cashier couldn't get the 2 coupons to work together one of them needed to be overridden by the assistant manager. He said no he wasnt going to do it. He said you cant use both of them together. The cashier and I said at the same time yes you can. Again he says no. The cashier sighs I shake my head. I said thats ok just take the second razor off and give me the coupon back. I will do it another day. She apologizes and said he's wrong. I laughed. Well she took the razor off and gave me both coupons back told me to come back tomorrow when a different manager was there. Sorry this is long. Heres my question she scanned the $3.00 IP coupon and it came off. Now can I still use that again since it has already been scanned ? Thanks Melissa

You should be able to use the coupon again....now if you are asking if it's ethical to use it again, that is a personal judgment call
My Dollar General will not allow a BOGO and a cents off on 2 products
Sorry you had a rough trip :)

none of my stores will allow a BOGO coupon and a cents off coupon, as the BOGO coupon requires 2 items to fulfill the coupon terms, so in order to use the cent's off coupon, you would need a 3rd item. I do know some people get this to work in your scenario above, but it won't work in my stores :(

I would, you are not mis useing the coupon, it was never redeemed. It was the stores jod to delete in there system and even if they din't do that they don't have the coupn to redeem you do. Also on the B1G1 and stacking, I read somewere and I think it was hbere that those coupons depending on the code will attching themselfs to both products stopping you from adding the second coupon to the transaction. Ih has to do the "14" being in the code or not.

its just frustrating because now I dont know if they do it or not. since one manager said yes but one said no. And you said your dollar general wont allow you to do it . ??? As far as ethically using it again I truthfully hadn't thought of it that way. I didnt ask for that one back but I get what you are saying I already used it and got the money taken off. I just hope that girl doesnt get in trouble for giving it back to me.

I don't think Dollar General allows you to do that, but it could vary depending on your store I guess. I never do the match ups that way, because my store doesn't allow it. Sorry you had problems at the store I know how frustrating that can be. Maybe you could call before you go and ask to speak to a manager and ask them what the policy is.

thats a good idea. I dont want to make any waves or cause any ill will. I have been going there for years and all the employees are so nice and helpful.

That's a great attitude to have. You could tell them that also when you call. Let them know some stores allow it and you would like to know their policy so you know what to expect when you shop and don't have to worry about trips like the frustrating one you had. Hopefully they will be thankful you are trying to do things correctly and be very helpful. :)

If you shop the store often keep them on your side for sure. They will save a lot more money over the long run than you were going to save on this transaction. I normally cancel the transaction if it is not what I expected to pay.

Wonder how that cashier is going to explain why her drawer is short.

I don't believe her drawer will be short? Since that razor was voided from the transaction?
I agree with everyone else though. I've had that happen, voided the product, and then re-used the coupon... I didn't think it was wrong, because I didn't end up using it... however if I did get the product and the cashier accidentally returned the coupon, I would feel differently.
Great attitude to have!

I thought she still got one but was given both coupons back? If so, then the coupon for the first one came off her total, but the coupon won't be in the drawer to account for it.

You're correct. I just re-read it and I looked over the "both" word in there.... Then the cashier will be short because of that.

Her first post isn't real clear as to how many razors she got. If she got two, then Marie Anne is correct. She still has one razor, two coupons and 3.00 taken off her transaction.

Sorry Rasha...we were both posting at the same time...I had to re-read the first post also.

She said it was a BOGO and that she told them to take the second razor off. If there's a second razor, there has to be a first.

And my whole point for bringing it up was not to ding Melissa if she reuses the coupon, that's something she'll have to decide. I just thought it funny that the cashier thought she was doing something nice, but she was probably going to pay for it at the end of the day. I'm sure she didn't even think of that.

Probably not, Marie Ann......I bet she won't do it again..

I dont think she thought of that either, she was just trying to be nice because she thought the manager was wrong for not doing it . I am not going to use that coupon again . It was already taken off once. And I wouldn't feel good about that. But I am still going to talk to the actual store manager and find out the exact policy this way I will know for sure and wont cause anymore problems for anyone.

A few months ago hubby and I were in our local grocery (I used to work there as a cashier) and I got a 12 pack of Coke with a peelie on it, the girls could not get the peelie off so scanned it on the box and left it. I told her two times that her drawer was going to come up short and she argued with me, I even told her I worked there in the past and knew for sure she was going to be short and she just looked at me like I was crazy. So I paid and left, I felt bad because I know how much you can get griped at over a $1 shortage in your drawer.
