What can I say? I am old and I grew up with the Walton's! I saw them all on the Today Show this morning, all 7 original children and Michael Learned will be in the show, this made me so happy!
Did anyone else see their interview with Matt? They are the most true blue happy All American family ever! These actors and actresses are still so fond of one another and even said that they were also "family" on the set and think of each other as siblings.
Matt pointed out that after all these years, nobody wrote a tell all book about the other actors. They immediately replied because there was nothing to tel. No arrests, no convictions, just good people.

 Neal
I tend to think our family is a bit like the Walton's...of course we are a bit louder, a bit more obnoxious and not quite as well behaved
BUT~~~~The bond is there, it's a good one, they are a good bunch of kids :)

 Neal...you were pretty much right on the bedtime thing
We never sugar coated much for our kids, it was what it was, and I am a lot like that with the grands too.....but, if you ever really watched the Walton's and really watched, things weren't sugar coated on the show either. There were tempers on that show, John Waite (I think that's how you spell it) who played the father, he had a fierce temper. There were many episodes with Michael Learned (the mom) pulling out that bible because she was about to lose it big time, especially over the Baldwin sisters and I always felt the show hinted that the Grandfather stepped out on the Grandma.
I guess that is why I really loved the show, they really were a real family, and the viewer could relate to them in many ways, even though the show was very dated.

Quote from Kelly There were tempers on that show, John Waite (I think that's how you spell it) That's the way I would have spelled it :)

I loved that show, too!! Like you said, they were just don't to earth with values and principles that they lived by.
Oh....do not depend on Neal for spelling!:P I troll behind him all the time to be the corrector!
With that said, I do believe that is how you spell the last name!!!

Courtney that is so cool!
And now I feel kind of really stupid because I was just informed that the cast was together to view the 40th anniversary of the original "The Homecoming"
It's in NJ tonight
