Just a head's up that I am on a mission to get every single "best" diabetic food listed in this forum. I debated on just typing a huge list of what I have found and a quick description of why it's good, but after a lot of thought I decided that many of these foods have entirely too many benefits and each deserves it's own thread. So you will be seeing a lot of threads in this forum for each separate food. It is impossible to do a continuous thread with reply after reply because I feel that many great foods will be lost in the list, and again I think each deserves it's own thread.

So this is basically a work in progress and I will update it often as this is a passion of mine. Ever since I was diagnosed with Diabetes I have been tirelessly studying about what foods are the best for an adult with Type 2 Diabetes to eat.

I had started a basic outline for this project and was going to just work on it each day and then post after it was completed, but I quickly realized that it is going to take a very long time for me to ever complete this project and I want to begin sharing the information I find now. There are so many sites out there that have so much great information but it gets frustrating jumping around to a million sites, reading tons of books and asking doctors, nurses etc. So I am going to do my best to get everything I have found for each food all in one place...here.

I also want to eventually add in my personal experiences with each food and even perhaps tips on how to find the best prices on each or even perhaps how to grow or raise the ones we can ourselves and so on, so frankly, this project will never be complete and will be edited often.

Please forgive the typos, I will do my best to go back and correct them. I am not sure if the foods will all be categorized at first, but at some point I will go back and do that. So I guess what I am trying to explain is that for now you will just see a huge hodge podge of posts about food, but eventually they will be categorized and put together in some sort of "book" form :)

I also want to add that with each food having it's own thread, everyone can reply with any helpful info, experiences or whatever that they have for the food :) this seems to make better sense :)
