One of my classmates who I like a lot--we hang out on occasion--just told me about a male review (strip show or something like it with guys giratin' and doing headstands in thongs, etc.). She's going with her mom, cousin, and aunt. She says I should go. I say no. For one, it's not something I want to do--not my style. It's not appealing to me in any way. I think it's hilarious! Also, it's just not something I think I should be going to look at. I mean, I don't plan to run for office any time soon, but...
What do you think about male reviews? Are they more for a lonely, horny housewife  OR are they for everyone and just for fun?

I went to one while in college- but that was it. It was fun, but not something I even think about doing now as a wife and mom!

hahahaha... this is hilarious!
A few months ago a friend invited me to one and I was like, no thanks... I don't know, I think I would laugh too... I mean don't get me wrong I think the SEXIEST part of a man is his torso, but I don't know if I wanna see them in a speed-o dancing around all sweaty and seductive... and I def. don't want a lap dance haha

I have seen them before. They are NOT at all sexy. Men look totally ridiculous dancing around like that, no matter how attractive they might be. Ick. I think it's more of a pack mentality thing, like, "we are women, see us behave just as badly as men" I dunno...

Sure, why not? I used to go to the strip bar, if I was dating someone and they wanted me to go w/ them...I can't see a good reason to say no.

Being surrounded by women flailing their arms around, hootin' and hollerin' is my reason for saying no. Strange balls in my face is my reason for saying no. Me thinking it's tacky is my reason to say no. I'm in no way prude, but bleh. Doesn't float my boat.
BUT, I wouldn't begrudge anyone going. I just don't wanna go. My husband thinks it'd be funny if I went. Not really.

They are in no way sexy at all! I am such a people watcher and it makes me laugh how rowdy women get at a male review but how quiet men are at a strip club.

Yes, Rosie! This. My hubby does not mind and he's throw-yourself-off-the-cliff sexy to me.

Interesting observation. I would say it's the expected atmosphere, though. You get thrown out of most strip bars just for touching a dancer - and even lap dances are heavily monitored in any "classy" establishment. It's more like you are expected to gawk. I can't say for the female equivalent as I haven't been to one, but I would expect the male "dancers" egg it on a bit more than the female ones do.

I've been to a male one once. It was hilarious. I would not want to go again. It was so dumb. It was more like you are going to see girls (ex-hubby) then I am going to see guys

The male dancers encourage touching. It is pretty creepy. They allow touching and grabbing and smacking and I even saw one lady lick a dancer.

Ewww! I couldn't believe the things they did when I saw them either. One of the guys lit his thong on fire in the front. I mean really it was NOT entertaining and isn't that a little dangerous...
