I know that we all have a little we can afford to give away... Some more than others... Go to your local shelters and ask what can be donated, and some of the things they need... I know that almost always, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hair brushes, shampoo/conditioner, body wash, is always needed.

Be an Angel this holiday and spread your wealth!

Yeah. My local shelters always need hygiene products too. I don't take them near as much as I should... but I want to start more often.

I am so happy right now, I just found out that there is a place in my tiny town of 1000 people called "Helping Hands Network". All donations stay in this area. I know they will need any donations I can give since its a small village and in a depressed area.

I was able to pick up 16 Yakisoba's at Walmart tonight at .02 each after q's and will be donating them to two church pantries.

When living in small towns you can look to places like your local Head Start to donate too! I worked for head Start for years and trust me, donations are very welcome for the low income home based families :) And the workers have tax form on hand and remember ya'll, your donations are tax deductible!

I have been donating food to the food pantry in town. I need to figure out how to get a hold of the shelter(s) in town and see what I can donate to help out. Thanks for the reminder.

I love to shop for groceries! I love to donate even more, this Thursday my spouse and I took a trunk full to a local food bank that was featured in the paper here with empty shelves. It is a wonderful experience to give. The director of this particular food bank was ecstatic to receive such a large donation of food and paper products from a single family. She gave us a tour of the facility and showed us how their food bank works. It was rewarding to see the stuff going directly on the shelves for immediate distribution. We may not be able to feed an entire city block but if we help just one person that means a lot to that individual. Thanks for starting this thread and thanks for helping us to remember to give especially around the holidays. Bless you all

Karren, I love to give my free Yakisobas to the food bank. It's so easy with the $.50 coupons. :) I learned that trick here on HCWT! :)
