I have heard bits and pieces of what she is revealing and I must say I am just sick over it.

I know we have some wonderful police in our country but why some don't dig a little deeper and maybe save someone from torture is beyond me.Just look how Jaycee Dugard fell though the cracks too.

She said she was in a public library and this was about 3 months after he had kidnapped her, someone noticed her eyes even though the person could not see her face (she was forced to wear a veil) and the person called police and they came and her kidnapper refused to let her uncover her face and the police left it at that, can you believe that????? Why on earth would the police not force the issue?? She said she had no hope at that time, poor thing!

Thanks!

People are weird, but you can't always blame the police for not digging deeper. We have an interesting system right now in the US where it's counter productive for police to get too involved in an investigation.

It just seems to me that if her kidnapper was so dead set against her lifting her vail that the policeman would have thought "hum now why doesn't he want her to lift her vail, perhaps this is Elizabeth Smart " kwim I would have wanted to be wrong instead of letting them get away and finding out later I let her go KWIM

If the system works like that then we are all at risk !!! I know some great Police and then I know some who are not so great!
Thanks!

I have seen and heard bits and pieces of the trial....God Bless this poor girl.....she has answered questions with such grace and class....and she has fired offf some pretty serious replies to the a**hole prosecutor....yea I know hes only doing his job...this girl was basically tortured for a year and he has asked some of the most rediculous questions to her....I just hope this sicko is put away forever!

Karen your right and that is what bothers me, she could have been rescued at 3 months into her captivity if the policeman only pushed a bit futher, it just upsets me , she said she lost all hope at that point, poor thing.

you know the couple that called in the second time knew who she was and the police pursued it then thank goodness, that couple deserves alot of credit for helping rescue her.

Thanks
