Wow KT your tree is so pretty! From what I can see your house looks beautiful, too!! We haven't put our tree up yet that is unusual for us. I don't even know how we are going to fit it in the living room this year. We need to move out of this teeny place!

Thanks, Heather. My dh bought this house over 30 years ago and I have only lived here 7. It is an AFrame and I love it!! We can have a really big tree!! I have to stand on an eight foot ladder to get the Santa on top and the balls on top!! I think it is a 71/2 foot tree, but it is sitting on a table so that puts it about 10 feet tall!!

Very pretty.
We put up our CB tree, but that is all we have done. DD broke the red glass ball as she took it out. all I had was a blue to replace it- the jokes in my house have started!

KT~Very pretty!

I'm going to try to put mine up today. I really need a new one but I'm waiting to see if it will go clearance. Here (http://www.treetopia.com/classic-artificial-christmas-trees-p/pencil_christmas_tree.htm) is the one I want, it will fit in the corner of my living room so I won't have to rearrange furniture every year. I want the 7 1/2 foot one.

Hope you get that tree, Allison. I got mine on clearance for 70.00 and I think mine is a pencil tree, too.

Ok, I put up the tree that I am using this year. I don't have all my ornaments on it because the tree has multi colored lights and it just looked like too much so I scaled back my ornaments.

Plus I have what I am calling my Christmas Ladder

Love the tree Allison and love that ladder idea! Can I steal your idea?

Allison
11-28-2010, 05:18 PM
Go right ahead Kelly! I love that ladder, I found it at a flea market and I've had it in my living room ever since. As I was putting up my decorations I decided to string lights on it, I might just leave the lights on for good.

I think it makes a great decoration. Hubby finally moved that dang pool table for me on Thanksgiving morning and I got my dining room set in what was the den and now the dining room, it made for a great holiday dinner with the fireplace lit and dinner in there :) Now I have this big empty room right off the patio door that is open to my kitchen that we used for the dining room and I am thinking about making it the "Christmas room" I figure with 7 grandkids running around, we need a room just for Christmas

Allison

Kelly- That can be your Christmas/Stockpile room
Wendy- I thought about doing that too, assuming I get some Christmas cards

Smaller than 2ft?

I suspect it is smaller than 2 feet. I store it in my husband's size 13 shoe box. It is scaled to blend in with the nativity scene. My youngest son picked it out some years ago. To read my camera book is on my list of things to do so I can post a pic; but so many things come up to do!!!

Wow KT that tree is beautifull! My cats sure would like to climb that baby!

Allison, your tree is beautifull too. Mine is alot like yours. I haven't got it up yet though. I'm not sure where I'm going to stick it!

Kelly, I would love to have a big room off from my kitchen. Well, I do its called my living room & it's filled to capacity! I need to get rid of stuff!

Rasha, beautiful little tree. My husband and I have put up a 3ft tree many times because we didn't have the room.

Sorry- was having troubles with the sizing of the pictures!?
If you look at the tree skirt, I made it, and every year-well most years, we have the kids paint their hands with gold glittery paint and put their handprints on it and the year! It is a great keep sake, and I will wind up making three of them, as they run out of room. That way, When each of the kids leaves the house and has their own tree, they can each one for under their tree.

Wow everyone has such pretty trees! Allison I love the ladder! Wendy that is a cute idea! I still haven't put my tree up yet. I don't know where we are going to put it. I think I need to buy some new ornaments too. Last year was Lil Miss' first Christmas and she thought the tree was put there for her I guess. Every morning I woke up to broken ornaments everywhere. :( Bad Kitty!

Wendy.........love the tree skirt!! I have heard of people using white tablecloths at holidays and having kids and grandkids do the same thing, but the tree skirt is an even better idea!

Rasha, if you want lights for your tiny tree, I found mine on sale at Rite Aid last year - little mini lights. I love to see them blinking; it reminds me of when we used the larger tree. It just makes it feel like Christmas.

I am not quite sure what that is...the top is a set of deer antlers (which have now became a reindeer and sleigh lol)
