We do something similar on our own. We always have a fire Christmas eve. After the kids go to bed and the embers cool down, we get a pair of DADDY'S BOOTS and dip them in the ashes and put boot prints on the tiles in front of the fire place! We always joke about what a mess he leaves! :)
