I'm so happy, I just had to shout it!! :excited:
If anyone remembers, I had to rehome my dog in October. It was a long (I'm talking years), hard decision, but in the end it was better for him. And us. The whole process was agonizing.
I still miss Sams like there's no tomorrow. I cry once a week and I get really wistful when I see other people with their dog. I miss having a pet... after all, I thought we'd be able to rehabilitate Sams (he was nippy with the kids, barky, territorial--got trainers, behavioralists, nothing worked) and I'd have another member of our family. I WANT a fuzzy to be part of the family.
SO, I found a great breeder (tried the shelter route with Sams... kinda scared to go that way again because of issues) that breeds marvelous Shih tzu pups and I'm going to go for it. :) I'm very excited. I'm preparing everyone now. We were really good pet people before. But I want to be better. I can't stand to rehome, nor would I ever think about that again. Too painful.
