When Do You Shop?
When do you head out with your collection of coupons? Do you go first thing when the doors open on Sunday before everything is taken, or do you wait until later in the day/week and not have to fight the crowds?
Or are there no crowds on Sunday morning? ~!~ Marie Anne ~!~

Marie, I spend my Sundays with my dh and don't care if there is no stock when I go on Monday. I usually go very early in the am on Monday before work. I only have one Wags 24 hour store where I live and there is not a lot of competition (until Extreme Couponing!) The other stores I shop, Rite Aid and CVS, I usually will hit later in the week and in the evening. If there are some really good Wags deals, I have been known to go on Sunday evening to be sure I get what I want. However, the night shift knows me by name and I have a great time shopping at 6:00am and a non-busy store!!

There are crowds on Sunday morning depending on the sale and the store. I am headed out before midnight tonight and will finish up sometime after sunrise. I also shop all week if I am able to, I hit a store on the way to work one on the way home and it is not strange for me to spend lunch at Walgreens. Grocery stores I will wait till midweek.

I wondered how I should do it because I need to pick up newspapers first, but I can do that at the little store about halfway to town then come home and cut/sort coupons on Sunday. I'd rather not head back out the same day.
I need to go Monday so I can go to the library and feed store while I'm out (both closed on Sun), but wondered if I'd miss out. ~!~ Marie Anne ~!~

I go Sunday morning if I can, but I have a 9 wk old baby so I can't always get out then. My stores are never crowded, but once in a while the Wags deals have been cleared by the time I get there.
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

I make a list Saturday night and go Sunday mornings (after clipping what I need) for just the really hot deals. It's become my little ritual. Then later Sunday or Monday I clip the rest of my coupons for my binder, and then I will grocery shop and go for other deals during the week when I have time.
It really depends on your schedule and your area. I like to go early Sunday because the store gets busy (not with just couponers, but everybody) so I don't feel rushed. Good luck!Lauren

I use to go earlier in the week and get things, but I have been slacking lately and just get there when I can. Sometimes I don't even get to Walgreens and I use to be there multiple times a week. Everything here is usually cleared out Sunday morning right after they open (Wags) and I am not one to want to go there and fight the crowds. I use to be able to go anytime during the week and still get what I wanted. Now I just go when I can and deal with what is left. :)

I go whenever I get the opportunity. If that happens to be Sunday morning, then I go Sunday morning. I would prefer to go on Sunday or Thursday. Sunday because the sale just started and Thursday because that's when the shelves are restocked at the Wags 2 blocks from my house. If I don't make it out on Sunday, I don't fret about it. I figure if all the deals are gone, I just wasn't meant to get that deal that day :)

I don't have a particular day that I go. I normally don't go on Sunday because I try to do my shopping after work. I live too far from everything and can't justify making an unnecessary trip. If I get the deal, great but I don't get upset if the shelves are empty by the time I get there. They are usually cleared Sunday morning anyway.

Thanks for your input, everyone. I did venture out this morning first thing to grab the papers and one quick trip to Walgreens. There were three employees in the store and not another soul, and they were still putting the markdown stickers on items, LOL. One cashier saw me looking at the Garner shampoo and asked if I had a coupon because she was going to give me hers if I didn't. Said she had several and would never use them all.
It doesn't look like my little town will run out of deals. I posted on my blog how I made out on this trip. I could have taken advantage of more, but don't like to be greedy, and I'll be going back later in the week anyway. ~!~ Marie Anne ~!~

That was very nice!
I don't shop on Sundays and rarely venture to WAGs, we only have one in our area and the RR products are always gone long before I get there.
I shop at Kroger, usually on Tuesday nights because I can shop both sale weeks that way and my husband can drive me (I can't see well at all and night driving is a big no-no for me), our new sales start on Wednesday here at grocery stores and Kroger's registers are set on Tuesday evening to price the current week's sale items and the coming week's :)
I mostly shop Dollar General these days, it's the closest store to my home, only 11 miles away. Kroger, WM, WAGs etc are all 25 miles away. We have a small local grocery that has good produce and meat prices and they double to .50 so I shop there sometimes too.

I shop on Sunday mornings for things that I know won't last long (varies at which store and what sale)
Then I shop Monday and Tuesday to get the other good deals
Then Wednesday my Rite Aid's get their trucks so I shop to get what wasn't in stock in the previous days
Thursday I usually hit Kroger because its pay day in our house
Friday is truck day at my Wags and CVS, so again shop
Saturday, finish off what's left on my lists and usually Wags if there is a Saturdate (I love to help my BA!)
Oh wait.....everyone doesn't shop every day of the week?! :rolling:
Just kidding! I do shop one or two stores a day during the school year, only because I am already out after taking DD to preschool and my almost two year old son only tolerates one or two stops before I have to start busting M&M's and other bribery methods ~~*Carla*~~

 I was just sitting here thinking that if I had to go shopping every day that would mean I would have to get dressed, do my hair, do my make up, put in my teeth. Make sure everything in the house was turned off before I left, find the car keys, find my purse, call each kid and let them know I won't be home so they don't have a heart attack when I don't answer the phone, make sure I had my house keys, drive.....oh hell, I am already tired, there is no way I could go shopping every day :rolling:
Seriously, I have gotten way too lazy!
