I'm Hopeless
Went to Tractor Supply yesterday to pick up chicken feed. Used my Purina $3.00/2 and then tossed in a bag of candy for $2.99 that I did not need. Also put $3 in the kitty for the WWII veteran outside collecting donations for the local veteran's outreach program.
Oh, did I mention that with the coupon, it brought the price of the Purina feed down to the same price I pay for another brand at my local feed store?
I'm still struggling with the math on all that, but something tells me I didn't come out ahead on this deal.

That happens to me sometimes too. I think its a great coupon so I buy it and realize that I usually spend less for a different brand. Plus I can't say no to candy that is calling my name.

I actually prefer the Purina, so it was no big deal. But I did not need that candy, for many reasons!

I always head out to coupon with good intentions and then spend on things I did not intend to. Especially if I take my daughter or grandkids with me

Sounds like you are feeling better about yourself though Marie. The candy even though you did not need it I'm sure gave you a little pick me up. and the $3 you put in the collection Jar, as if you have not done enough for our country you as a great Americian just keep on giving. So don't worry, you feel better and that is all that matters. I am sure when you need to save you preform with the best. So Head up and Smile.

Candy occasionally gets me too! Somdo the veterans. Last week the DAV was collecting outside Walmart, my dd and I spent $3.55 in Walmart (saved $9) and we got $10 cash back to give to the DAV. I just remind myself that coupling allows me to be able to give :)
Once in a while you get shown the light, in the strangest of places if you look at it right.

You to Delissa, it amazes me that the people that have given so much already are willing to continue to give regardless of their capablity to do so. God bless you all. No wonder we live in the proudest country on the face of the earth and no doubt who's example we follow. Thanks againshopping with a mission
