Another Gender Question from the Wizard
I'm sorry but sometimes you women,,,,,,, well I just do not understand. On the weeks that I generate large numbers of Register Rewards I donate them to my DW, yes I did say donate since there is no return on them it is a donation. Well during the Black Friday event at Wags I ended up generating $140 in RRs and being the loving, caring and all around nice husband I am I gave them to my DW. Well today I asked if she still had them and before I could say another word I was informed that I had given up all rights to them when I handed them over to her. Now I was only planning to make sure that she is using them and not letting them expire. But it was as if I was going to repo them for non-use. Thats not the issue, this is. She tells me she is looking for a deal to use them on, Okay a gal after my own heart but she then goes on to say that she really wanted to get a bunch of face make up for the grandkids christmas stockings and asked if I would work a deal on it. Well I quickly responded that there were no deals on that product for this current or the next week. She looked at me like I had called her a name, (I swear I didn't this time) or something and said "You didn't even look". Well DUH!!!! I have read those wags adds more times than she has had a drink of water in the last two weeks and I do know what is in them. She then says well I Guess I'll go to Wal-Mart and get them. OKAY THAT IS THE LAST STRAW, I give her $140 of someone elses money to spend on any thing at Walgreens and yet she want's to go the WAl-Mart to save a couple of cents while spending our money. Am I missing something here. I told her to grab both of her ears and pull until she hears her head pop out of her butt. Yep I know Wrong thing to say but when I open my mouth theres no telling what might come out of it. Is it that hard to understand that spending someone elses money is much cheaper than spending ours, regardless of the cost of the product you are buying?

Neal, sometimes it is hard to get people to understand....thankfully, my husband does not understand or care about the deals, but he fully appreciates that I do them. That's enough for me. He will even walk around the store with me, hold my coupons, listen to me explain the deal and smile all without caring one bit as long as I am not spending money we don't have. But of course I will also go to the deer stand with him, listen to endless repetitive deer hunting stories and smile and nod and not care about a word he says either

Haha probably not the nicest thing to say, but I understand your frustration. I would rather spend someone else's money (wags, for instance) than my own even if it saving a whole $ because its not really coming from my pocket... I understand... and holy geez $140 RR's? You know Christmas is coming up and Ill let you know I'll spend the RR's the right way. haha! jk

I have explained it to her many times that the Reason I speand countless hours running from store to store to earn these RRs is for her to spend, It has nothing to do with being a freakin nut.

Hmmmmm.......just tell her to spend them how she wishes. She doesn't have to have a "deal" with that many RR's????? Sorry pal.....I would have had them spent long before now!!!
However, if I were to hand my dh and handful of RR's......he wouldn't have a clue what to do with them!No one can make you feel inferior without your consent...

Well even if Walgreens doesn't have any good deals she could at least get Jingle Cash for the things she buys!
Wish my hubby would hand me $140 in RR's!!!!

Haha I took it this way: even if it's "free" money, it's still hard to buy things when you know you can get a better deal. She probably really wants to get the most out of the $140, especially since she knows all the work you had to do to get them, so she doesnt want to just throw them away by paying full price. I do that all the time. I was at staples and HAD to spend my rewards since they were expiring the next day, but I still walked around for 20 minutes trying to find something because I wasn't going to "waste" them on a full priced item. So I kind of do understand what she was saying.
