Our work is being noticed
I recieved this email today after visiting ths store at 4:00 am. I gave the checker a quick 15 minute Wags workshop after she asked for help on learning how to do this.
Hello Sir,
My name is Sean Maguire and I am an Assistant Manager at the Walgreens in Wentzville you visited this morning. We met briefly and you gave my overnight cashier your card. I am very excited when I meet people like you who donate your time to help save others money (my wife will now be following your blog as well as clippin' with carrie!). I am aware that many times you may be familiar with the best deals far before any manager at any store. If this is the case, I would like to work with you so i can order up on items that may be hot, that way we don't run out (I read todays blog and see that you indeed hit a store that didn't have an item). If this is a possibility, please let me know!
Respectfully submitted,
Sean Maguire
I need the highlight the work that KT does on wags and the insperation she has been. She always as a preview up early and I do use it to put my match up together. I will be getting this manager a coupole of links to use, HCWT & Stlcouponwizard. We are well on our way to owning our own Wags.shopping with a mission

Wow Neal...what a great manager! It's nice to be able to read something like that instead of another story about a store that resented couponers! Thank you so much for sharing

A little follow up on my email exchanges with a Wags Manager, I received this email to day and it is intresting. Check it out.
This is great, I will try to get this ordered up tonight! As for what Wag Managers like or dis like about "couponers" I am afraid that many do not get it. We are trying to teach our management staff that coupons are a positive thing, but many feel like they are being taken advantage of. An example of this is when a select few people that come in and clean out our supply of a hot product. When other customers come in and we are out, they get angry that we don't have any of it. Since we are unable to write rain checks for register reward items, you can imagine peoples frustrations. The best way I have found to combat this is to talk to the people who know what items will be hot, and try to order up on them. That way everyone wins, we get the sales, and customers get the discount (which to me is the MOST important aspect of my job, saving people money, while getting sales for my store).
I also love the fact that you tell your readers about the suggestive sale items, they are very important to our front end goals, and cashiers are rewarded for their sale efforts- just as you mentioned in your blog! Our warehouse is delivered on fridays, I will try to order up on these items tonight and hopefully we will be set! I think it would be really great if we can continue to work with one another to achieve our common goals of giving people the most bang for their buck. Again, thank you so much for your effort! Cheers!
Some of the managers do get it, and their concerns about people that empty shelfs are real. I will be responding to find a way to find the Suggestive selling item each month, it will be a great thing to add to my match ups and a way to get a smile from those checkers.shopping with a mission
